They invented hugs to let people know you love them without saying anything. Bil Keane

So, first and foremost, thank you to everyone who left me comments on my last post. I know it wasn't a pretty one, but I really appreciate your kind words :)

K, not one to toot my own horn or anything, but I received a very nice compliment today. I had dinner with a friend who I hadn't seen in awhile so upon seeing her, of course we hugged. And she complimented me on my hugs. She actually said that I gave the best hugs and she loves seeing me because it usually means she gets a hug. (Reading over this, it sounds creepy and weird, but it really wasn't meant to be!) My aunt also shares her thought on my hugging ability. Now, she's my aunt and we're family so whenever I see her, she will hug me obviously, and just stand there for a few minutes. It gets a little awkward, I'm not gonna lie, but it makes me feel good that I'm doing something to make her feel good (again, a little creepy sounding, but I really don't mean for it to be!)

Hugs are one of my favorite things. I mean, they just feel so wonderful! Hugs are good for any occasion. When you're happy, a hug can feel great. And when you are completely depressed, a hug can have the same effect.

I guess the main idea of this post is that I totally love hugs and it's nice to know that I'm good at them.

So, get out there and give someone a hug, it will seriously make their day.

And if we ever cross paths, please hold out your arms.

  1. I love hugging too. I think I hug too tight, though. One of my aunts hugs like hugging a corpse and that always drove me insane. So when I hug people I hug tight... I hope not too tight. hahaha

  5. When I first starting working at...um, well, you know where I work, no need to post it on the internet...I was struck by the amount of hugs I got in a day. Now I am a huggy person too. I think if adults hugged each other as much as kids do, the world would be a better place.

  6. I wrote about something sorta like this awhile ago (http://perplxintexan.blogspot.com/2009/01/just-say-goodbye-i-dont-want-you.html).

I'm not so much a toucher as I am a feeler. But, I think that's ok.
